Slaughterhouse fails to tell new North County recruits about its controversial past

A multibillion-dollar Midwestern slaughterhouse whose out-of-state recruitment practices have attracted sharp criticism has hired 46 North County residents to work in a meat-packing plant in eastern Iowa.
